Xiao Xiao Bin: I Like Guys More Than Girls

So the child star is actually attracted to guys? Yesterday when Xiao Xiao Bin went to variety show "Golden Songs Super Star" (金曲超級星), he was greeted with five cute little girls. Host Huang Zijiao asked XXB, "What type of girls do you like?" "I like guys more," he replied without hesitation.

Don't worry, the 5 year old is not turning gay. It's known he is always arranged to kiss girls in other variety shows and perhaps it annoyed him over time. "I always french kiss people, I like guys," XXB said.

XXB had a mood sling as well during taping of the show. In order to make him happy, the host told jokes and sang Taiwanese songs, but XXB didn't buy it. "It's boring," he frankly said.

Then the host asked, "#1 is sister Giraffe, #2 is sister Panda, who do you like the best?" XXB didn't give face to the host and commented it as boring again, making it an awkward situation. However, he started to feel happier when he danced with "Otaku Goddess" Yao Yao and hugged with the little girls.

Andy Lau Avoids Talking About Wife's Pregnancy

It's rumored Andy Lau's wife Carol Chu is 3 months pregnant, but until today Andy has yet officially announced this good news. Even when being interviewed by a Mainland website, he only talk about work.

As for holding his 30th anniversary concert at the end of the year, Andy expresses it would be memorable and touching. "Very touched, because it's hard to support someone for 30 years. Just like you making a friend, or loving someone, it's also hard to keep the relationship for 30 years," he says. He didn't think about retiring from the industry. "If there are still people who want me to be in their films even when I'm 70, I would do it. If I quit, but come back later, then everyone would doubt whether there is a problem with my family," he says.

Over these years, Andy isn't enthusiastic about breaking into Hollywood. "My attitude is, I don't really mind. Or, is it worthy to spend a lot of time doing this thing? Some people might think it's a glory for Chinese people. Then let me ask, who got a very good career after going to Hollywood? I looked at too many scripts that aren't prepared for Chinese, or only let Chinese to play supporting roles. If they let me play Spiderman now, then I'll say yes," he says.

Court Rules in favor of Dee Hsu Over Lawsuit Against AppleDaily

Some might still remember Dee Hsu (Xiao S) and her husband Mike Hsu landed on the front page of Appledaily back in March. The newspaper reported that she had allegedly called the 113 helpline to report domestic violence. It claimed her case was forwarded to the Taipei Domestic Violence Prevention and Cure center. Following a visit from a social worker, the Hsu household was then deemed “high risk” by the center. Dee Hsu strongly denied the accusations and said she would sue Appledaily. The couple even met with reporters at the front of a police station (where Apple claimed she had filed a report) in an attempt to clear them name.

Over six months later, the Shihlin District Court determined that Appledaily failed to provide sufficient proof for the content it reported.  The paper was slapped with a 4 million NTD fine (~129,000 USD) and ordered to publish a full-page apology on its front page for one day. Dee Hsu and her husband responded on the ruling, “(We’re) very thankful that the judge did us justice, proving the report was false. 4 million can help a lot of people in need.” The two added, “It will be the first time in history (for Appledaily to print an apology on A1), (we’re) very thankful of the judge’s fair judgment.”

Appledaily won’t go down without a fight (of course!) Their editor in chief responded, “We have checked with the Taipei Domestic Violence Prevention and Cure center, Xiao S, Xiao S’s mom and other people prior to the report. We have verified as much as we possibly can, as well as (giving the issue) a balanced report. It fully presented statements from Xiao S and her family, and there was no malicious intention of defamation. (We) will appeal accordingly.”
