Ron Ng: I Dated Viann Zhang

It takes so long for Ron Ng to confirm his love life.

The actor's girlfriend Viann Zhang supposedly used the actor's Weibo account to post by mistake. The simple post caused a stir but at the same time officially confirmed the two are no ordinary pair. Yesterday Ron went back to TV city and was surrounded by many reporters. He first apologized to his fans and family, saying he knew nothing about the incident before hand.

"Because I went to Toby Leung's wedding, I didn't know what happened until around 4AM," he said. "I was shocked."

The 32-year-old also confirmed his relationship with Viann, but in a vague way. He didn't say whether he is still in a relationship with her.

"I...yes, I dated her," he said. "Give some space to us."

Ron expressed Viann already apologized and promised things like this won't happen again. He was protecting the actress and said he won't think more.

The Mainland actress later posted on Weibo, stressing the whole thing was just an accident.

"It was just an accident, no need to make a fuss," she wrote. "I know others won't believe I just logged into the wrong account. I hope you guys give me some space."

Ron Ng's Weibo Account Used by Girlfriend, Causes a Stir

Ron Ng is in trouble again.

Last night, fans were surprised and shocked to read the TVB star's "latest" post on Weibo (aka Chinese twitter). The star himself wasn't in the picture nor he wrote the post, it was his Mainland girlfriend Viann Zhang Xinyu.

"So tired. Don't wanna do anything but sleep after work. Head hurts," wrote the actress.

The picture she posted was she on the bed and fans worried whether this is another bed photo incident like Raymond Lam's. The simple post caused a stir and provoked a fight between fans of both parties. Some claimed Ron was being used and some supported it was a mistake post.

Ron himself chose not to make a public appearance, and only expressed the photo wasn't taken on his bed.

"I have nothing else to say," he said. "I can only said it wasn't taken in my house. Talk about this later."

TVB executive Virginia Lok also explained for Ron, saying Vianna does have the password to the actor's account and the reason behind the post was just wanting more attention from the actor.

Viann's manager, however, expressed it was just a mistake. They will not say more about the incident.

The couple met last year during the filming of Mainland drama "Pretty Maid." Ron always tries to keep his relationship a low-profile, but the girlfriend doesn't buy that. She once exposed her whereabouts in Hong Kong on Weibo and later their relationship was reported. Then earlier Ron was photographed picking her up at the airport and bringing her home. They might not admit their relationship, but it's no longer a secret already.

'The Monkey King' 3D Holds Press Conference in Beijing

Filmko's 3D action film "The Monkey King" <大鬧天宮> (previously translated as "Havoc in Heaven") held a press conference yesterday and some of its starry leads like Chow Yun-fat, Donnie Yen, Aaron Kwok, Kelly Chen, Gigi Leung, Peter Ho, and Joe Chen all attended.

A-list actor Chow joked at the interview that he is the CEO of heaven because he plays the Jade Emperor in the film: "I rule the heaven. I'm a very important CEO." He does not really mind about money but hopes for a shorter time in applying make-up.

Playing the Monkey King in the film, Yen expressed he only gets 2-3 hours of sleep everyday, but he would try hard to provide the best to everyone. The "Ip Man" star will have romantic scenes with newcomer Xia Zi Tong (plays the Nine-tailed Fox) in the film.

Praised as the most handsome Buffalo Demon King, Kwok hopes to change people's view on this character who appears frightening and ugly usually. But it takes 3 hours to get his make-up done and the actor's skin is complaining already.

Playing his wife Princess Iron Fan in the film, Joe Chen is fortunate that she does not need to film action scenes like other people because her character is pregnant. The Taiwanese idol drama queen admires Kwok a lot and she praises him the most handsome Buffalo Demon King in the history.

Returning to the film industry after giving birth, Kelly Chen discloses she likes her role as Guan Yin in the film. Plus the filming time is not too long and she does not have to be separate away from her son for a long period.

Several costume photos of the cast were released earlier but yesterday director of the film disclosed they are not the final version. The film plans to be released in 2012.

Film 'The Grandmasters' Poster Exposed

Director Wong Kar Wai's upcoming film about wing chun master Ip Man "The Grandmasters" (一代宗師) has been put on hold for nearly 8 years and it was not until last year the team officially started filming. Although the film is not done filming nor the release date has been confirmed, but at least one of the film's posters is finished, as it has exposed in the American Film Market.

In this American version poster, lead Tony Leung Chiu Wai's version of Ip Man is fighting against his enemies in the rain and his stand makes him powerful already. Foreign media even describes Tony as the Chinese dark knight.

Martial arts choreographer of the film Yuen Wo Ping greatly praises Tony's current status for the film's action scenes. "I never worried about him," he says, "Talking about body figures, Tony looks better than Donnie Yen. It is unbelievable that there is strength in Tony's kicks. He does have the potential to film action films."

Another photo from the film is leaked and it is the female lead of the film Ziyi Zhang. Her role is yet to be introduced, but based on the photo, she is playing someone who should be skillful in using Ba Gua Zhang.

In addition, some netizens actually suggest to name the film "Yeahman" instead, seems like they want to bring Ip Man into the foreign superhero family (like Superman, Batman, Ironman, etc).

Da S Admits Getting Engaged After Meeting Fiance 4 Times

She finally admits the engagement!

Two days ago the rumor of Barbie Hsu (Da S) engaging to Mainland rich guy Wang Xiao Fei broke out. The couple didn't want to keep it as a secret anymore and confirmed it on Weibo. Wang Xiao Fei was the first to confirm the news, stating they want a comfortable and happy life and hope everyone can give some room to them. In respond to her fiance's message, Da S expressed she knew Wang is her Mr. Right the first time they met [at Ady An's birthday party] and got engaged after meeting 4 times. The couple was spotted at Shanghai airport with their hands held tightly together. It's known they flew back to Wang's home in Beijing.

Full message on Weibo (translation by CpopAccess)

From Wang:
Everyone, don’t guess anymore, we are engaged. (The decision was made) very calmly and not sudden. (I) just happened to have met the right person at the appropriate time. We only want a happy and comfortable life, continuing with my work and career, while she can also quietly return to a family life. There is no right or wrong in a relationship, only whether it is suitable or not. Give some room and your best wishes to the two young people please?

From Da S:
(I’m) actually not that young…The point is, I’m very blessed, very certain, very happy! Moreover, our happiness will continue on! I knew it was him from the first time I met Xiao Fei, (we) got engaged after only meeting four times, (I) must say, (it’s a) match made in heaven. Thank you for everyone’s concern! We will take in all the well wishes~

It's known the couple secretly got engaged on October 18 at a church in Beijing. Wang just prepared a normal wedding ring for the proposal. Da S' good sisters weren't even there for her.

Before the couple confirmed their engagement, Da S' sister Xiao S carefully answered reporters' questions regarding to Da S. She expressed she only know how Wang looks like through the media and joked "looks like my husband, but different levels of handsomeness."

Then when the couple finally the engagement online, Xiao S was relieved and admitted meeting Wang before. She said: "I see Da S' happiness more important than mine. She is now full of happiness and a man can take care of him, no regrets in her life anymore!"

As for date of the wedding, Da S' father disclosed the couple plan to tie the knot in February, but no date has been confirmed.

Da S to Announce Engagement Soon

Recently it's said Barbie Hsu (Da S) is engaged to the son of South Beauty Group CEO Wang Xiao Fei (汪小菲) after knowing each other for just twenty days. The actress expressed that she will announce the news soon. "Besides my hand is injured these twenty days, I'm happy with everything else. I will return to Taiwan in a few days, and will announce at the right time," she said in an interview.

The 34-year-old has been single for more than two years. Once dated Blue Lan and idol Nick Chou, this time she actually decided to get engaged in less than a month. It's known she met her 29-year-old fiance at Ady An's birthday party in Beijing on September 30. The two fell in love at one sight that night. Wang didn't use Weibo much, but after he met Da S, he started to write on microblog a lot and Da S is often the one to replied first.

In fact, Da S had hinted the rumored engagement already on Weibo. "Some people you know for years but may still feel like strangers. Some people you only met for a short period, but already feel like you know them for many years. This is fate."

It's known Da S and her family gathered in Shanghai for engagement dinner. Last night reporters were waiting for them outside the flagship store of South Beauty. When Da S and her mom appeared, they were surrounded by reporters and were asked "really getting married?" The two only smiled.

Wang is currently the executive director of South Beauty. He has dated Mainland actress Kitty Zhang Yu Qi since late 2009. Yesterday he explained his relationship with Zhang on Weibo. "Yu Qi and I broke up for a while now due to personality difference, but we are still good friends. She is a good girl. Although we can't be together as a couple, but I still hope everything goes fine with her career and love life," he wrote. Then Da S' sister Xiao S immediately re-posted Wang's entry, and wrote, "bless you and bless her!" It seems the engagement news is not new to Da S' family and good friends.

Female Stars Worry About Infrared Filter Cam, Which May Allow Users to See Through Clothes

Technology didn't just ease our everyday life, but also offer an opportunity to immoral people to fulfill their ugly wishes. Female stars always have to be aware of crazy fans and photographers, who may try to lay a hand on their skin unexpectedly or take photos of their private parts from various angle. But a camera/recorder with an infrared filter is the worst to encounter.

A 10-minute (full version 2 hours) clip of Olympic female divers who got snapped with an infrared filter camera is circulating on the internet. It's not a normal clip, but an immoral clip---divers' body and private parts are visible because of this special filter. Victims include well known Chinese diver Guo Jing Jing, her partner Wu Ming Xia, and other female divers from other countries (Russia, Mexico, Australia, etc.)

In fact, this clip was on the internet last year but was quickly removed by the Chinese government. It's unknown who put it up again this time.

Female stars all express their concerns and worries. Once photographed while changing clothes, Gillian Chung @ Twins pays her sympathy to the victims in the clip. "It's crazy. Hope those people will stop hurting people like that," the singer says.

Taiwanese star Rainie Yang and Hong Kong singer Elanne Kong point the incident is freaky. "I believe not only female stars are afraid of being photographed secretly like this, even guys would be afraid," Rainie says.

TVB actress Christine Ng and Sharon Chan believe it should be stopped. "Very angry! Females can't be violated like this!" They express it's not related to the level of sexiness someone dressed since your body is clearly visible under that type of filter no matter how many layers of clothes someone put on.

Expert detective Cheung Tat Wai expresses a decade ago there are already people viewing females' private parts using this technology. It only requires an infrared option from the camera/recorder and an infrared filter to be placed in front of the lens. "A simple procedure that requires no special technique," he says. He points out this technology is hard to go through clothes made with pure cotton, but can easily go through nylon and swimwear. "Infrared filter is dark-colored and sometimes it looks like a mirror. Ladies should be careful when they see someone holding up a camera/recorder with that type of filter on it," he adds.
