Chilam Cheung Invites Big Guests to Last Show

Chilam Cheung's last show of his 2011 concert ended yesterday. In order to provide a good show to his fans, not only he worked out hard to build muscles, he also invited some starry guests to the final show.

Good friends Cecilia Cheung and Aaron Kwok were invited as performing guests. Haven't sing for a long time, Cecilia felt nervous when she performed with Chilam and at one point she forgot lyrics. As one of the heavenly kings in the 90s, Aaron dance-battled with Chilam on stage and they performed Aaron's classic song "Never Ending Love."

The most surprising guests at the final show were Maple Hui and Chilam's 4-year-old son Morton. Maple was once Chilam's rumored girlfriend, as they were partners in singing the classic love duet "Modern Love Story". Haven't met up for nearly 20 years, Chilam and Maple still have a good chemistry and Maple praised Chilam still looks handsome, just like 20 years ago.

After Chilam sang with Maple, a clip of Morton singing was played and Morton was brought to the stage to his dad. Surprised to see all this, Chilam held his son in his arms and asked him some questions and was a little "mad" in the end.

"Are you sleepy?"
"Yes."
"You haven't seen daddy for a long time, right?"
"Yes."
"Do you miss daddy"
"..."

Chilam once again said touching things to wife Anita Yuen on the stage. In the first show, he thanked Anita for bringing him a family and a son. Now in the final show, he made a promise to her.

"We didn't even take wedding photos," he said. "I'm owe her a wedding gown. I promise you, let's do this again when we are sixty."

Chilam Cheung Declares Love to Wife on Stage

Chilam Cheung's first individual concert was held this week. The first concert since he debut 20 years ago, Chilam invited good friends Grasshopper and Charlene Choi to the show as performing guests. His wife Anita Yuen and son Morton were also present to support.

April 1st is the day when pop star Leslie Cheung passed away and in remembrance of him, Chilam impersonated Leslie at the show. He sang Leslie's song and imitated his moves. During the performance, he even took off his shirt and showed off the six packs that he worked very hard on.

Chilam also talked about his love life on stage and his "declaration of love" to wife Anita touched many. Dated her for 20 years, he said he felt pressured in the beginning because he was often asked when would they break up, tie the knot, or divorce; but he didn't regret making the relationship public.

"Many people objected me opening it up, it's like ending a career for idol singers. But I think it's all worth it," he said. "I'm very lucky that I can find a family in the showbiz. Thank you for giving me a family and a child!"

His touching words touched Anita and her eyes started to get teary. The funny thing was, Christine Ng, who was sitting next to Anita, was more emotional and cried already.

After he thanked his wife, Chilam then said he is thankful to have his son Morton. While he was singing a personal song he wrote for Morton, photos of Morton when he was just born and as a baby were shown on the screen.

Aaron Yan Clothes Off For MV

Forget the old Aaron. Prepare to see The Next Aaron takes it all off soon.

Releasing his debut album in April, Aaron Yan is not hesitated to liberate from his old image. He has a bold performance in "The Next Me" MV. His company released a 30-second preview clip of the MV lately. Aaron is seen taking his clothes off one by one, in the end his pants are shown slipping off.

The concept of this MV is liberation. The MV crew prepare a beige-colored underwear for the 25-year-old to wear, but he agrees to just take it all off to express the idea better.

"It's supposed to show my real feelings," said Aaron. "Take off my image, my protection color. Back to me, the real Aaron Yan."

The MV to be released on March 10.

Introducing MISSTER: The Manly Female Group

From left to right: Milk (潘宜萱), Carol (陳瑾怡), Jin (戴安娜), Chris (賴紫綸), Chiao (王哲巧)
You don't have to be sweet or sexy to form a female group in the showbiz.

A new Taiwanese group called MISSTER is introduced to the music industry recently. Lead by "One Million Star" contestant Jin, the five-members group goes for the handsome manly looks. Their outfits and appearance seem to have inspiration taken from some of the K-Pop boy groups in the market. The biggest difference is, all five members from MISSTER are actually females.

The group has been strictly trained the past year. Singing, dancing, and composing, if they weren't serious or good enough, they won't be chosen to be in the group now.

This special female group is releasing their debut album "MissTER" soon, around February 25. First single "BOMB BOMB BOMB" is already released.

Jam Hsiao's Voice Cracks While Singing on CNY Gala

Not a good night for Jam Hsiao on Wednesday.

The Taiwanese singer was invited to perform at CCTV New Year Gala along with singers Khalil Fong and Li Jian. He was the last to perform, singing his well-known song "Collection." However, his voice cracked already when he sang the first line. His voice cracked several times while performing to over one billion Chinese people.

Known for his clear and resounding voice, the singer's performance that night was affected by a bad cold. In fact, he flied to Beijing last month to rehearse, and got sick from the local weather already.

After his 'memorable' performance, Jam expressed his helplessness on Sina Weibo.

"I've tried my best. Thanks to all staff from CCTV, my colleagues, and everyone who anticipated my performance on stage. I really did tried my best."

[Kay says: I was watching the show live, and was very surprised to see Jam cracked his voice. But now I know he's sick, understandable.]

The Performance:

Aaron Yan to Release Solo EP in March

After five years in waiting, Aaron Yan is finally releasing his first solo EP this year.

The singer was put into a boy group Fahrenheit in 2005 with Wu Zun, Jiro Wang, and Calvin Chen. Among the four, he is considered to be the best at singing. Finally after five years, he is releasing his first solo EP in March.

Rumors about Fahrenheit breaking up have been on going for years. Now releasing a CD on his own, Aaron was asked again the same question. However, he denied the break-up again.

"Fahrenheit still exists, and we will continue to release an album together."

Raymond Lam Feels Guilty Winning Asia-Pacific Most Popular Again

Winning awards is a good news to his fans, but Raymond Lam is feeling guilty about it.

The singer was criticized for winning Asia-Pacific Most Popular Hong Kong Singer at last year's Jade Solid Gold Best Ten Music Awards. He won this award again last night, and it was definitely a surprise for him.

"I never thought I'm able win this again," he said, "There must be different voices out there about me winning this award, but I will try harder to make everyone acknowledge me."

The TVB artist feels guilty winning this award because he hasn't released a Mandarin album yet. He felt the same last year and that's why he keeps the award inside a box, afraid to put it out. But he would bring it out soon.

"I will release a Mandarin album in March, focusing at the Southeast Asia market," he disclosed, "Then I would bring last year's award out."

Jolin Tsai Flirts With Vivan Dawson At Concert

Jolin Tsai's "2010 myself Concert" at Taipei Arena held its last show and new beau Vivian Dawson finally appeared to support girlfriend. But to avoid excessive attention, he did not entered the venue at the VIP entry and watched the show in low profile.

Knowing new beau is here, Jolin sent a sweet message to him when singing "Real Man." She did not say anything when singing "Real Man" in the first two shows but last night she added: "Where's my real man?" It seems the dancing queen was openly flirting with her new boyfriend at her concert.

Last night was the final show and everyone was emotional. When singing "Rewind" written by ex Jay Chou, Jolin even had a emotional break down. She told fans after singing "What Kind of Love" that her nickname is "Tsai Shi Fei" (Disputes Tsai) because she has encountered many challenges over these years. She then said: "Already about 11 or 12 years now. Doesn't matter when did you start to support me, I'm very happy that I'm able to keep performing on the stage."

Edison Chen Sings New Songs, Audience Reacts Coldy

Is the photo scandal still affecting the singer?

Edison Chen is officially back to the showbiz and his new album "CONFUSION" is releasing in December 30. Yesterday the singer attended to an opening ceremony event as guest and promoted his new album.  He rapped 2 songs but the audience was not too ethusiastic; only Edison's good friends cheered for him.

There are 15 songs in the singer's new album and they are about his experiences from the past 2 years. The only Cantonese song "Reboot" talks about starting over again and "Salute" is inspired by the aftermath of his explicit photos scandal. He said he wants to salute to people who support and did not support him over these 2 years because they gave him strength to do well.

Edison admits he is nervous about his official comeback: "I'm afraid I can't rap anymore. I'm not that worried facing several thousands people in Shanghai. But it's Hong Kong here, but after today I have nothing to worry about."

Jolin Tsai's Back to the Taipei Arena

Jolin Tsai is back on the stage of Taipei Arena after 4 years!

The singer's 3-shows "2010 myself Concert" at Taipei Arena kicks off last night. The dancing queen began the show with "Butterfly" and she performed in a very sexy corset mini dress. Not only she performed her latest voguing dance with famous dancer Benny Ninja, she also performed a special dance with male and female dancers for her homosexual fans.

Jolin sang nearly 30 fast tracks and already changed into 5 different outfits for the first 5 songs, changing 11 outfits in total. It is known the singer practiced changing clothes in 20 seconds for her concert.

The "Honey Trap" singer did not speak until the 10th song. She said she wants to talk less like singer Faye Wong: "But producer of my concert didn't like it. After all Faye's a music queen." Her fans' reply "you're too!" made the singer laughed happily.

Many of Jolin's friends sent flower baskets to wish Jolin a good show, including her ex Jay Chou. Jay even writes on a card: "Still a good show without Double J. Zero empty seat, zero awkward moment." But good friend Wilber Pan purposely teased her. His message on the card "you sure it's only gonna be yourself?" [the name of Jolin's concert is 'myself'] teases Jolin's rumored relationship with model Vivian Dawson.
