Bowie Lam Hints Sammul Chan's Actions are Pointless

Although Bowie Lam and TVB's contract ended already, but he still attended to their drama event yesterday. He expressed he has a good relationship with TVB. Although they are not related by contract anymore, but if there are suitable jobs, TVB would still invite him to attend. Bowie expressed money and fame are not the factors why he didn't renew his contract.

"I've been in TVB for more than 20 years. I was in a rush the last time Virginia Lok asked me to renew. This time I calmed down and thought about it more. Maybe a year later I would sign a new contract."

Talking about earning extra in Mainland, Bowie admitted many management companies and crews are inviting him to join; but right now, he doesn't want to sign a management contract: "If there are right dramas, I would film them. Because I'm the Asian TV King, I have market in Mainland, South East Asia, and even North America."

Asked whether he would appear in Cable TV or ATV's shows, Bowie appeared to be teasing Sammul Chan: "Depends on the content. If it's to declare one's sovereignty, it's pointless."

It is better than no celebration at all.

Bowie, who once expressed his complaints for being ignored even when he crowned Asian TV King, was the most notable yesterday. In order to "calm" Bowie, TVB's GM Stephen Chan explained the reason for this "late celebration."

"Our company didn't forget you, hope you understand why. Every year we would wait until everyone got his/her awards, then we would hold a press conference to praise them," he hinted to Bowie on the stage.

Now got his celebration he deserved, what are Bowie's thoughts?

"Better late than never!," he replied to reporters.

The actor denied saying TVB is treating him coldly and hopes to act in other countries' dramas in the future.

TVB's TV King Wayne was also at the event and it was hard to avoid being compared with Bowie. TVB TV King versus Asian TV King, who is better?

"We don't talk about this!," the two TV Kings said.

TVB's 'Every Move You Make' Plagiarizes American Series 'Lie to me'?

This year, TVB has been plagiarizing from beginning to end. The other night, TVB new series Every Move You Make premiered and was accused of plagiarizing American series Lie to me. Even TVB Producer (Gary Tang) predicted earlier there will be a series copying Lie to me!

The night before, Bowie Lam's Every Move You Make premiered, Netizens discovered that the series plagiarized American popular series Lie to me, whether if it's the characters or the story, both series are very similar.

Speaking of the similarities between the two series, Bowie's character and the main lead from Lie to me both developed childhood trauma due to an unexpected death of a loved one. The two characters loves to watch clips to analyze suspects' expressions and movements. Also both series have former American President Bill Clinton's affair as a case, analyzing the body language of the suspect to solve the case. In the past, TVB producer Gary Tang produced several high rated series including Files of Justice and Healing Hands, he predicted long ago that this will happen: "I have seen Lie to me, it is really a good series! At the time after I finished watching, I thought when will TVB have this type of series? What do you know, they did plagiarized and in fact plagiarized completely!" As for the Broadcasting Authority, yesterday they received 2 complaints regarding the plagiarism.

Bowie Lam Lost His Memory For 1 Hour

Bowie Lam is currently filming for upcoming series "Every Move You Make." When he was filming an action scenes, he accidentally hit his head; fortunately the injury wasn't bad. Yesterday around 4AM, he updated his status on Sina Miniblog (微博) saying a little incident happened, causing injuries to his head and lost his memory for 1 hour. He went to hospital to have a brain scan soon after; everything is good. He even said casually, "In the end I got smarter, continue to work as usual!"

The series' producer said he still needs to know more about Bowie's injury. He heard from the crew that Bowie had to fall back for a scene. Supposedly someone was there to hold him from the back, but maybe there's some misunderstanding in communication, when he fell, no one hold him and his head hit the ground. He felt a little dizzy and worried about blood clog. The crew sent him to the hospital for some check-up. Report didn't say anything was wrong and he can leave. He continued to work yesterday.

Sharon Chan, Macy Chan, and Bosco Wong commented on Bowie's page. Macy said: "Aiya! Take care! Fortunately it's ok! Increased 200% humor!" Sharon said: "You okay? Take care Bowie! You're already very smart!" Bosco said: "Not smarter, even more humorous, hope you're alright."
