Lindsay Lohan to Return to NYC

Lindsay Lohan will be leaving Hollywood behind and moving back to New York, her mother revealed Friday on NBC's "Today" show.

A defensive Dina Lohan said her daughter, who is currently in a drug rehabilitation program, said that while California is wonderful, "it's a different game you play there."

She then slammed Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel for playing "hardball" in her daughter's case and revealed that Lindsay will get out of the rehab facility early.

Revel, who sentenced the troubled "Mean Girls" star to 90 days in jail and three months in rehab for violating probation, stepped down from the case this week.

The judge was reportedly pressured by prosecutors to remove herself from the case for repeatedly leaving them out of the loop.

Dina said that her daughter is doing "wonderfully" following her recent jail stint, where her mother said she even made friends with alleged murderers.

"Lindsay has rolled with the punches," she said.

An argumentative Dina also defended her childrearing, saying it is a parent's responsibility to grant their kids freedom. She then said there was nothing wrong with her daughter and that she has grown up.

"I'm not condoning drinking and driving, but she's still paying the price for what she did in 2007," said the 47-year-old mother referring to Lindsay's two DUI cases from three years ago.

Dina blamed many of her daughter's problems on the media, saying the actress' actions are unfairly judged.

"Her life is magnified. Her life is under a microscope…Lindsay doesn't realize a lot of people are watching her."

Lindsay Lohan Released From Jail

After 13 days behind bars, Lindsay Lohan was released from the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif., around 1:35 a.m. Monday.

Lohan, 24, now is in rehab. Though she was originally set to spend three months at high-end residential facility Morningside Recovery in Orange County, Calif., she will report to the UCLA Medical Center, according to TMZ.

After she completes treatment, the actress will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing until Aug. 2011, when her probation term ends. She is still allowed to take certain prescription medications.

Lohan had been behind bars since July 20 for violating probation in her DUI case. (She was originally sentenced to 90 days but was released early due to good behavior and overcrowding.)

Her time in the slammer was fraught with drama.

When she was first taken to her 12-by-8 cell, she was "crying," said Alexis Neiers (of E!'s Pretty Wild), who was in jail at the same time for burglarizing Orlando Bloom's home.

"She was talking to deputies and, you know just trying to — I couldn't really like make it out - but from what I saw the first day, I mean, she was lying in there and just trying to like calm down," she said.

Though some inmates claimed the actress was receiving special treatment, her attorney Shawn Chapman Holley told UsMagazine.com that was not the case and that Lohan had even "made some friends."

Her mother Dina was most outspoken about her daughter's time behind bars.

"She doesn't have cell phone privileges, that's absurd," she said. "She doesn't even have a pillow to sleep on. I talk to her through glass. There's a phone and we put her on speaker but I can't even hug my daughter ... She's treated like a common criminal."

Lindsay Lohan to Serve Only 9 Days in Jail

It's known Lindsay Lohan "LiLo" could be out of jail after serving just 9 days, revealed by jail source to The Sun.

The troubling actress was sentenced 90 days in jail for breaking the terms of her probation for a 2007 drink-driving charge. Then it was revealed she would serve about 23 days due to prison overcrowding.

However, after she entered Lynwood Jail in California, police documents showed she was likely to be free in 14 days. And last night a jail source told The Sun he expected the actress to serve just 10% of her original sentence.

He said: "The sentence keeps shrinking. The new estimate is she will be released after 9 days if she behaves herself."

Lindsay is also allowed to take several prescription drugs in jail, including Adderall, which is used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

90 --> 23 --> 14 --> 9 = Is Lindsay Lohan this lucky? Or is the American justice system not fair enough?

Lindsay Lohah Throws A Drink At Ex-Girlfriend Sam Ronson

Over the weekend the troubled actress reportedly went so far as to physically attack Sam at one of her gigs in Trousdale in Los Angeles on Friday night.

At 1:30am, Ronson posted to her Twitter page the following message:

"Just got a glass thrown at my head. ... Hmmm - wonder who did it?"

A witness revealed to the NY Daily News:

"It was ridiculous. Sam was sitting at a table, and Lindsay came up from behind and tossed an entire drink at her. Sam looked livid but just let it go."

The partygoer added:

"Why people even let Lindsay inside their establishments anymore is beyond me."

Earlier that evening she was also spotted downing drinks at Chateau Marmont. But what's pushed her over the edge?

Sources reveal that LiLo was drowning her sorrows as she just found out that she was fired from her upcoming film "The Other Side", after producers decided that she wasn't "bankable."

But it seems as though LiLo may actually have realized this time that she was in the wrong and has some serious problems. Late Friday night, she posted to her own Twitter page:

"Last night - never again - believe it or not she's done with the club scene i've learned my lesson - sometime's it just takes a glimpse of reality."

Although her pledge to ditch the club seen appears to have been short-lived. By Saturday evening she was seen headed into the Chateau Marmont at 2am.

Lindsay Lohan May Be Banned From India: Report

Lindsay Lohan has been banned from a few nightclubs in her time ... but an entire country? It could happen.

British paper The Telegraph reports that government officials in India are mulling whether to blacklist Lohan, 23 following her visit last December.

Filming a BBC documentary about child labor and human trafficking, Lohan claimed at the time that she saved the lives of 40 kids in one day during a raid on a sweatshop illegally employing child workers.

"Over 40 children saved so far ... Within one day's work ... This is what life is about ... Doing THIS is a life worth living!!!" she bragged on Twitter.

Activists were offended by her boast, and pointed out that the actress arrived in India after the raids in question, and played no part in rescuing the kids.

This led officials to discover that the star had broken India's visa rules: Lohan failed to apply for a work visa for the trip, and illegally filmed the documentary as a tourist.

The Telegraph writes that civil servants in New Delhi are now investigating the case to determine whether Lohan will be added to an "immigration blacklist."
