[Review] Fun With Liza and Gods Episode 9

An episode after the news of Ah Jeh's criticism is released.

Other artistes: Louis Yuen impersonated Bak Wing Kam who is lately involve in a political campaign, the superman pairing is pretty good haha.

Then Wong Cho Lam as Janet Bin!! Singing Ultraman Tiga's theme song, originally sings by Eason Chan. That tokusatsu is one of my childhood favorites, totally love how he edited the lyrics, not to mention how well he dressed up as Janet Bin XD Just like Janet Bin's younger brother.

Lastly Johnson Lee as Dave Wong Kit, I think he's better with Jacky Cheung, but Johnson definitely got Dave's singing style for sure.

Entertainment Report: It was all about Cecilia Cheung's delivery report. Gosh they did so well...Lucas Cho Lam on Nicholas Louis' arm HAH! being followed by all reporters.

Then the next plot was when Deborah and Patrick Tse came out to announce the good news. They teased Nicholas by saying he hit people when he's happy (Nicholas was involve in an assault case before) and teased Patrick by saying he likes to cheat LOL. And I like how they turned "pointing thumb" into saying "mo zee ping on."

Gag Father: The first one was so-so, I think most people laughed at the second joke---Q太郎

Kids In The City: The "kids" were discussing how to determine someone is a woman, the climax is definitely when Little X said Liza Wong isn't a woman because she never got pregnant and give birth! LMAO!

Ah Jeh's Singing: No more individual singing, she sang with Vinci and the Gods this time, shouldn't have too much criticism this time, she was so-so/good, maybe she's better off singing with other people...

Avatar as Grasshopper: Remember the Gods as Avatar in the Entertainment Report segment? Now they showed up together and performed, nice result XD

Artiste Impersonation: Not surprising, passed again....is the audience being too nice??

It looks like Super Junior is trying to get closer to the manly image these days. In the June issue of W Korea, Super Junior members posed with much charisma to wow their fans and readers.

Eunhyuk and Leeteuk went topless, something they’ve been doing a lot. The pop art image style is quite refreshing and so is the green eye shadow on Heechul.

Super Junior said, “It was enjoyable and meaningful to get together with the members and do a photoshoot even with our busy schedule.”

[Review] Fun With Liza and Gods Episode 8

 搵乸 .aka.Wyners: Why didn't they tell the audience who the other two people were? Anyways it was pretty good :) They definitely captured the gestures and emotions of real band members.

Miriam Yeung & Liza Wang: It went so smoothly then suddenly Liza sang her part x____x modern singing vs. old style singing. I noticed she has this lil accent and can't sing smoothly whenever she sings. Look at Liza's emotion here, i wanna caption it as: "Dang, I don't sing as well as Miriam."

 Entertainment Report: They unveiled the secrets and identity of Hungry & Handelababy from Sat In The City. They continue to tease Johnson Lee, saying Hungry is dating him. Handelababy shows viewers how to build her/his feminine look. I like how two Handelababies are on the same screen XD

*NEW* Kids In The City: kid version of Sat in the city!!! Johnson really did look like Harry Potter! Which character was Louis in? He looks so much like a kid! Cho Lam as Maruko-chan....Littlebaby haha!

Liza's song of the week: When Louis Yuen said she's going sing to sing Faye Wong's "I'm Willing" (我願意), I went....I AM NOT WILLING!! LOL. But I think after being criticized for so many times, she strove for improvements and this time, it's a lil better

*NEW* Elders in Senior Center: new segment! featuring Christine Kuo as a pretty nurse. Those "old men"...LOL i like their tricks, you expect something great, then it turned out they're just dumb ones XD like the one above, Cho Lam performing an awesome magic trick....

[Review] Fun With Liza and Gods Episode 7

Overall it's an average episode, it's sad that Sat In The City ends in this episode :-(

 The 3 Gods continue to impersonate classic characters from TV series. First we have Johnson Lee as Chow Yun Fat's character in 上海灘. They replaced the gun with blow dryer and the funny part is where Johnson blows off that guy's wig LOL

Then we have Louis Yuen as Dae Jang Geum. I think the "My Father, My Mother" is quite funny HAHA!

Lastly we have Wong Cho Lam as Chung King Fai in "A Fistful of Stances." Honestly, OMG!! He did a very good job, especially mimicking Chung Sir's voice!! At least 85% alike! Close to 98%!

Gag Father this week is OK, the first one is not really a typical joke, the second one is the usual 'lan gag'

I like Raymond Lam, in my opinion he's the only TVB actor that can consider to be a SINGER; he is good and smooth. Liza Wang just...couldn't handle high pitch, she would be off-key by then.

 The climax in the entertainment reporting show is Da X meeting Michelle Lo! They really are look-a-likes! Da X gave Michelle 2 pairs of chopsticks, signifying they're chopsticks sisters haha!

Then Sat in The City airport version! Nothing to mock, but more like a farewell segment. Sayonara yo!

Then Fookies aka Cookies! The 3 Gods totally caught Stephy, Theresa, and Kary's characteristics and exaggerated them LOL. And they sang “心急人上”, can't believe I knew it......I didn't know it was by Cookies, or perhaps I just forgot, it has been a long time.....

Introducing EEG new singer Alex Hung Kit (洪杰). He impersonated William So in the impersonating segment. He did a good job, voice and gestures. He's the one who did a good job overall since the show started. Without the wig, he gives me a Khalil Fong feeling.

In the end....OH GOSH Liza singing again. She wore the Nefertiti-inspired hat again (it looks Nefertiti to me LOL). This time singing a Mandarin song, and I think it's better than Cantonese songs..still a little out-of-tune when she reached high notes.

[Review] Fun With Liza and Gods Episode 6

By far my favorite episode!

The 3 gods continued to portray classic characters from notable shows. Wong Cho Lam appeared first as 4 Nai Nai (四奶奶) aka Sheren Tang from "Rosy Business" (巾幗梟雄) and talked about Hong Kong "chung lui" (中女). Here in the picture he's reading off a list of single "chung lui" in the industry.

Then Johnson Lee is next as Wing Dek (榮德) from "A Fistful of Stances" (鐵馬尋橋). It was amazing! He totally did a good job in speaking the way Wing Dek did in the series. Funny indeed. Selena Li and Angela Chiang were who they are from the series. Wing Dek was more attention-grabbing LOL.

Lastly we have Dai Kai aka Lee Si Kei from "Heart of Greed" (溏心風暴)! Louis Yuen was portraying one of the classic scenes from HOG, where Lee Si Kei was judging Susanna Kwan at home. Louis did a humorous twist to all Lee Si Kei's famous phrases, such as the one in picture. It was supposed to be "未登天子位，先置殺人刀." But here it was about farting a murderous fart!

This part (Sat in the City) was hilarious!!! They showed up in these awesome outfit. Cho Lam in SM GaGa style, Johnson as leopard cat, and Louis....ROFL!!! He even hid two ice cream cones inside those long cones! Take a look here:

The joke in Gag Father was a pretty normal one---it came from a song: Beyond's "Really Love You" (真的愛你)

Then Denise Ho appeared and sang "On Top of The World" with Liza. The entertainment show was about Lisa S & Daniel Wu getting married in South Africa. The kissing was funny.

I have no comment to whoever is portraying other stars.

At the very end, Liza sang a "classic golden song" but to be honest, she couldn't pull of Faye Wong's song. Liza was singing the theme song from her series "The Awakening Story" (婚前昏後) but when she reached high pitches, just failed. Hoarse voice and almost out of tune.
