Netizens Criticize TVB Series 'Mysteries of Love' Copying Japanese Drama 'Galileo'

Although TVB's new series "Mysteries of Love" already said they're the Hong Kong version of Japanese drama "Galileo," and producer Lau Ka Ho expressed they're not worried of being accused copying, but after first episode was broadcast, netizens discussed it lively. Some netizens left comments on tvb.com pointing out the plot, characters, occupations, character relationships, even the setting design are very alike to "Galileo." They accused TVB copying, and some said already complained to Broadcasting Authority. But until last night, Broadcasting Authority expressed they didn't receive any complain regarding to "Mysteries of Love."

Looking at the first episode of this new series, it really is similar to "Galileo." Raymond Lam, who plays a genius physicist, has the same occupation as Fukuyama Masaharu in "Galileo." Tavia Yeung is just like Shibasaki Kou in the Japanese drama, who plays a rookie police. But the most stunning thing is the lab Raymond stays at all the time, it's 90% alike to the one in "Galileo," not to mention the blackboard full of formulas. Slipknot bassist Paul Gray, 38, found dead

Paul Gray, bassist with the metal band Slipknot, was found dead Monday in a hotel room in Urbandale, Iowa. He was 38.

Police said a hotel employee discovered Gray's body in a room at the Town Plaza Hotel in Urbandale, a suburb of Des Moines. Foul play isn't suspected. An autopsy is planned for Tuesday.

A person who answered the phone at the band's record company, Roadrunner Records, declined to comment. Most of the band's members grew up in the Des Moines area.

Slipknot's self-titled debut in 1999 sold more than a million copies.

Known for its grotesque masks, the band won a Grammy in 2006 for best metal performance for the song "Before I Forget." Concert industry trade publication Pollstar ranked Slipknot 18th in its Top 20 Concert Tours list in 2009.

Blackie Chen Asks For Resignation From New Show After Hosting Just One Episode

New variety show <梁陳即時> just premiered yesterday and one of the hosts Blackie Chen asked for resignation today.
