Elva Hsiao Walks Grammy's Red Carpet With Jamie Foxx

Elva Hsiao was invited by Oscar winner Jamie Foxx to walk the red carpet of yesterday's 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, and she was the first Taiwanese artist to do so. Appeared in a black C.D Greene gown, Elva was introduced to audiences by Foxx during interviews.

"This is Elva, she's from Taiwan," said Foxx. "She is huge over there, sorta equivalent to Britney Spears."

Although she was on a very strict diet before the show, it was still an excited night for the "Miss Elva" singer. 

"I'm very excited. I hope one day I can attend to this big night as a nominee."

Elva met Foxx through friends last year and was invited to be part of last night's Grammys. Foxx even introduced her to some American producers and rapper Kanye West. They listened to Elva's "Miss Elva" and West even composed a short segment of a song for her. Fans, don't rule out the possibility of them collaborating in the future!

Elva Hsiao releases new album "Miss Elva" recently. She accept an interview by Matilda Tao Jing Ying and the two talk about criteria for boyfriends. Elva stresses her needs are simple. "He would accompany me quietly when I'm sad, would feel thankful for things I do for him." In addition to these basic needs most girls long for, she also hopes her guy can understand her menstrual cycle.

Elva Hsiao Spends 4 Million NTD On New MV

Elva Hsiao filmed MV for new song <<瀟灑小姐>> (Miss Chic) lately and spend 4 million NTD on it. This MV utilized motion control cameras to film 720 degree panorama, capturing dance moves from left to right and up and down. Elva danced a total of 30 hours and 500 times, she said: "This song really make you feel more lively the more you listen to it. Like riding on roller coasters, you don't feel tired  at all." She even proudly said this MV is cooler than 3D movies.

There are 3 fashionable looks in this MV, including a pink avision battlegear outfit specially designed by Hong Kong designer Tomas. This outfit shows tidiness and sexiness of Elva's character in the MV. Elva said: "It's hard to pose in the purple sensing outfit. I couldn't pose regular poses and almost hurt my waist."

Elva Hsiao accepted interviews when she attended to an event in Beijing lately. She admitted that she underwent double eye lid surgery (縫雙眼皮). It enlarged her small eyes and it's actually her mother's wish before she passed away. After the surgery, Elva said good fortunate came, her album has a great sales, also her bad romance disappeared.

She spent only 15,000NTD for this surgery, which was done in March of last year (!).

Elva said before the surgery, she took a large amount of time to make her eyes bigger. It took at least two hours for her to apply make-up. Mother passed away on New Year's Eve, Elva Hsiao to inherit ten million+

Elva Hsiao's mother died of illness on New Year's Eve. When she was on the stage, Elva hoped fans to pray for her mother together, "Please pray with me, give her another miracle, let me show her my filial obedience again." Her mother watched Elva's performance on bed through Skype. The hospital notified Elva about her mother's critical condition when Elva was on the way home.
