Jessica Hsuan, Joe Ma, Him Law, etc attended to the costume fitting of a 13-episodes new series <飛虎> (rough translation: "Flying Tigers") and they showed up in their outfits in the series. Jessica plays an Inspector of Police for the Organised Crime Triad Bureau and Joe plays a Special Duties Unit member. There will be many actions scenes and Jessica was told to exercise more. Jessica Hsuan Receives Bride's Bouquet at Wedding

Jessica Hsuan and her boyfriend Ruan are still very sweetly in love after dating a year and a half. Recently the couple went to Vietnam together to attend to a friend's wedding. Ruan even successfully caught the bridal bouquet and he gave it to Jessica immediately, making her very happy. She said: "I've caught it three times already, originally I have no feelings toward it, but this time Ruan caught it, I feel quite good. (increase your thoughts to get married?) We're happy to see others getting married, but for us, not yet! I still need to shoot new dramas. But we're in a good relationship right now, very stable. But our friends seem to worry more."

Stayed in Vietnam for five days, Jessica said the coolest thing is that she was able to experience Vietnam weddings: "You enjoy hotpots during noon, very funny, then Vietnamese Western-style food at the banquet. Ceremony is about the same you see in Hong Kong, but Vietnamese stresses on earrings rather than the ring, so the bride received a ring with the biggest diamond." Besides that, Jessica also enjoyed a nice trip arranged by the husband of her elementary school classmate: "Ruan likes to look at historical sites, this time we went to see tanks, airplanes, and secret road system digged during the Vietnam War. There are three layers, Ruan and I walked to the deepest layer. Then we also went to the museum and saw photos taken during war, I feel very bad, it's lucky that we didn't experience war!"

'Gun Metal Grey' 3rd Promotion Event

Felix Wong attended to the 3rd promotion event for series "Gun Metal Grey" along with Michael Miu, Jessica Hsuan, Nancy Wu, etc after fiercely criticizing TVB. TVB seems to have learned a lesson that they specially arranged leads from the series to be interviewed by "Scoop." Felix was in a good mood at yesterday's event and he expressed: "I'm not angry! I'm just expressing my opinion as a viewer. Maybe I'm dare to speak out. I write out things I don't like. There is freedom of speech here in Hong Kong. (Arranged to be interviewed by "Scoop" to fix relationship?) It's hard to say. 'No Regrets is ending this week, need to divide other times for other series. At least they have the heart to do everything. (Feeling better now?) I already said I wasn't mad."

Felix expressed he has not decide whether to attend to this year's anniversary awards ceremony and will let Michael to decide. Michael joked: "Don't know whether they will invite me or not. Maybe I don't need to go because I'm not in the top 5 nominations."

As for Felix didn't get invited to attend to this year's anniversary gala, Jessica believed it is the problem of respect. She was invited but was unable to attend. She expressed she already know promotios for "No Regrets" would be something different and she is used to her company's arrangement.

Jessica Hsuan Exposes Felix Wong Wins Hearts of Young Girls

As for leads from "Gun Metal Grey" did not get invited to attended to TVB's Anniversary Gala, Jessica Hsuan expressed it is expected: "Know it already! I brought it up to Felix Wong before already. Things have changedin these few years. Some things we already know it by heart. We actors have to do our jobs, already satisfied when the audience accept us. Maybe he doesn't know because he's been gone for this long. He is a good actor. It would be a pity if he quits. He tried this hard, it's definitely a little discouraging when he's not getting enough attention. Our company should be fair. In fact, our series have many supporters. When I was out for facial treatments, many young girls expressed they watch Felix and Michael Miu at dinners. This prove they win hearts of many young girls!"

Another actress from "GMG" Nancy Wu tried to ease out the tension when she knew Felix is mad at TVB: "He actually wants to use this extreme way to promote for our series. (Would you invite him out for dinner to comfort him?) We and several other actors in the series are actually good friends. We will go out together whenever outsiders have good response to our series." In addition, she expressed she will attend to the Anniversary Ceremony (12/5).

Jessica Hsuan Only Shows Her Gentle Side to BF

*To all of you Malaysian readers*

Jessica Hsuan attended to a Bizzy Body beauty event in Malaysia as guest yesterday. Asked how does she keep her body in shape, the actress actually said: "I can be thinner! Some parts you can't see need to be improved." The host asked how does she stay radiant all the time, and she answered: "Drink more water and rest!" In fact the biggest reason is probably because she is in love.

Playing a reporter in new series "Gun Metal Grey," she was asked whether she has the same personality as her character in the series (strong outside, gentle inside) in real life, she said with a laugh: "How do you I'm like that in real life? Everyone probably cannot see my gentle side. Only my boyfriend in this world sees that, not even my parents, haha!"

Asked which one is more important, love or career? She answered: "My manager is here, so both!" So it seems love is more important in her heart.

In "Gun Metal Grey," Jessica expressed they took ideas from real crime cases. The Kitchen Stove Murder case scared the actress a lot. Although she knows it is fake, but thinking that it is inspired from a real story makes her feel not comfortable.

Besides saying she is tough on the outside but gentle inside, Jessica also exposed she likes to wash her car! Someone suddenly made an appaulse for that, and she said: "So you guys want me to wash your cars, too? I once tried polishing my car for 6 hours! Friends really love to ask me to wash their cars!" She even joked it can help her tune up her arm.

Jessica also said: "I haven't been to Malaysia for about a year. I was nervous that I couldn't even sleep last night. I woke up at 5:45AM!" She was very welcomed by fans during the event. Some fans even stopped her at the exist for autographs and she could not leave without the help of security guards.

TVB Anniversary Feature: Jessica Hsuan

Believe it or not, Jessica Hester Hsuan (宣萱) has been working for TVB for almost 20 years now.

Discovered by TVB in 1991, the actress rose to fame with her role as Samantha Ching in File of Justice IV (1995). Since then, she has become one of the "fa dans" (TVB A-list actress) in TVB. More of her well-known roles include Michelle in Cold Blood Warm Heart (1996), Siu Fong Fong in Old Time Buddy (1997), Ling Choi Fung in Square Pegs (2002), Ko Hei Man in Just Love (2005), and Carmen in Dicey Business (2006).

She can play different kinds of role: gambler, mad wife, tough woman, etc. She has 3 series out this year: A Pillowcase of Mystery II, Sisters of Pearl, and anniversary series Gun Metal Grey. In Gun Metal Grey, she collaborates with Michael Miu again as his love interest. Another tough woman role she plays, should be easy.

Will she win this year's TV Queen (TVB anniversary awards' Best Actress)? Well, she was 1999's TV Queen, winning the award with series Detective Investigation Files IV [first pic]. No need to win more awards to prove her popularity or secure her place as TVB's "fa dan," her work over these years proved it all already.

Jessica Hsuan & Myolie Wu Eat Together, Shows Getting Along Well

There are many rumors about Jessica Hsuan and Myolie Wu don't get along during shooting new series "King of Thousand Phoenixes" (direct translation). But this time when reporters paid a visit to the set, the two actresses were very friendly to each other. Before official shooting, they would discuss about their hair accessories, scripts, and make up. When they were shooting a quarrel scene, they finished the scene with one take, only spending 40 minutes [including shots at different angle etc, not only one angle]. After shooting, they went to enjoy dinner at canteen and kept talking about cats and dogs. There's definitely no signs of them having grudge against each other.

As for these negative rumors, Jessica told reporters: "In the past, 2% of some rumors are true, but this time is 100% false. In fact we get along very well. Plus we are inexperienced in shooting this type of drama [Qing dynasty]. I'm like a newcomer, always have to ask opinions from director, Sunny Chan, and others, afraid I can't do well." Myolie added: "I have zero confidence, because it's different from shooting modern series, which is natural and comfortable. Jessica and I always ask each other is it OK? We give confidence to each other. Rumors of us not getting along? Maybe we don't have romance rumors. It's either not getting along or loving partner in the series!" Jessica has boyfriend Ruan, and Myolie has stable rumored boyfriend Bosco Wong, it's hard to believe new romance rumors about them!

TVB Anniversary Series Battle Between High Executives Catherine Tsang and Tommy Leung

Every year's TVB anniversary series are the fight between executives Catherine Tsang and Tommy Leung, the two powerful directors/producers in the production unit. Both have their wins and loses these years, however, series produced by Catherine has been winning over those produced by Tommy. Recent example include "Heart of Greed," "Moonlight Resonance," "Rosy Business," and "Beyond the Realm of Conscience," which are all very well-known series and did well in ratings, popularity, word of mouth, and TVB anniversary awards. In contrast, besides "E.U." was more outstanding, Tommy's other series didn't do so well. Last year, Tommy's "Born Rich" and Catherine's "BTROC" were selected as anniversary series. The final result: "BTROC" receives average ratings of 35 points and peaked 50 points; but "BR" was dissed by viewers as "Born Boring."

This month, Tommy's "Growing Through Life" is competing Catherine's "Can't Buy Me Love." "GTL" received mediocre ratings of 27 points but "CBML" receive average 33 points so far. Knowing he can't lose again for this year's anniversary series fight, Tommy purposely replaced "Relic of an Emissary" (洪武三十二) who was originally selected as one of the anniversary series, with police drama "Gun Metal Grey" (刑警). It's known the reason "ROAE" is out because its setting is similar to "Rosy Business 2: No Regrets," both sets in the ancient/prepublic series. Also, the duo of Michael Miu and Felix Wong in "GMG" is more interesting to watch, since they haven't collaborated in a long time. Reporters contacted Tommy and he explained the selection is decided by drama unit. "Heard it was going to be 'ROAE,' but they would decide based on the background and after production of the series. 'ROAE' just finished shooting. I watched 'GMG,' and think it's very good."

As for the female lead of "GMG" Jessica Hsuan, she expressed she didn't know "GMG" is releasing as an anniversary series. "Two of my series 'A Pillowcase of Mystery 2' and 'Sisters of Pearl' are released this year. Can't believe 'GMG' would release this year, too. I believe cops drama is guaranteed to have good ratings. Plus it's starring Michael and Felix, who hasn't shoot series in HK for a long time, definitely giving a fresh feeling to viewers. In fact, whether it's 'RB2: No Regrets' or 'GMG,' they're both by TVB, it would be good if both series do well in ratings." The competitors of "GMG,"  male lead and producer of "No Regrets" Wayne Lai and Lee Tim Sing both hope the two series can receive good ratings
