3 'Gods' Don't Dare to Play Law Kar-ying

Liza Wang (Ah Jeh) and the 3 'Gods' Wong Cho Lam, Louis Yuen, and Johnson Lee went to the rehearsal for this weekend's <荃加福祿壽宇宙最長> ("Liza and Gods' Universe' Longest") concert. Three models were arranged to take photos with Johnson because he will dirty-dance with models at the concert. Cho Lam and Louis joked they already had a "proper meal" (girlfriend) and leave dirty-dancing to Johnson, who needs to lose weight and eat less "meat" (desire). Louis also exposed several guys fight to dance with Ah Jeh and they will sing with a pop queen, too.

Asked whether Law Kar-ying (Ka Ying Gor) would attend to the concert? Ah Jeh expressed he is not in Hong Kong. Whether they would find someone to impersonate him? Louis said: "We don't dare. It's disrespecting." Whether their girlfriends would show up? Louis made fun of Johnson: "Johnson will ask 'big' 'medium' 'small' dim sum to come (pointing to Johnson's rumored girlfriend 'spring roll'). TVB Anniversary Awards is this Sunday and they plan a skit for it; someone will appear to get the award that night. As for whether it would be Moses Chan or Wayne Lai, they will not reveal until that night.

Liza Wang, Johnson Lee, Louis Yuen, and Wong Cho Lam teamed up together again to bring more fun to us audience. In the first segment, Wong Cho Lam plays "Pork Rib Boy" Pierre Ngo in the scene where the gang is looking for him. Great editing indeed! 'Fun With Liza & Gods' to Hold a Concert Version

The Fun With Liza and Gods Longest Concert held its press conference yesterday at TVB City. Liza and the "3 Gods" Louis Yuen, Wong Cho Lam and Johnson Lee appeared in Star Wars costumes, and announced what the concert was all about, also the concert theme song MV by the 3 Gods premiered.

Liza said: "My main focus is not imitation, just accommodating the 3 of them. The whole show is focused on singing. (Will you sing other people songs?) Limited, I have a lot of old songs myself, but won't change the lyrics, not like them, I am not that type. (Why didn't you take part in the MV?) This is flexible, it's convenient for them to accept shows now that they have their own theme song. (World tour for the 4 of you?) Depends on the time, there are some areas that we have a limited budget. Also, I can pair with other people like Adam Cheng."

The 3 Gods expressed: "This time we are doing two shows because we can't add shows. Before when we were choosing the dates, because our main audience are family, so we chose Saturday and Sunday. (Will you guys invite guests to go on stage?) Yes. Besides imitating more classic public figures, there are some we haven't tried to imitate before. We already have 4 guests who agreed, they won't be imitating anything though, we will imitate them, hope after Part 1, we can do a Part 2."

'Fun With Liza & Gods' to Win 'Best Variety Show Host'?

TVB's "Fun With Liza and Gods" did very well in ratings and word of mouth. Although the show ended now, but the four hosts, Liza Wang, Louis Yuen, Johnson Lee, and Wong Cho Lam, will continue to work as a team to entertainment the audience. It's known they will hold a two show concert starting in December 4. Then they will even tour around the world, going to places like North America, Australia, Singapore, etc.

Because the show is very popular, it's decided TVB will tape 4 special episodes to air in the anniversary months starting November 13. It's believed they have a high chance in winning this year's "Best Variety Show Host." (the award ceremony is in early December)

In addition, it's rumored TVB to start a series and film for the team and the series would start shooting early next year. Yesterday reporters contacted Liza for confirmation and she said: "Filming a film? Really? I thought it's just TV series? I'm not sure! But if it's true then it would be a happy thing." She expressed she would try to participate if schedule permits.

Cho Lam, one of the Gods, said: "We will start discussing the anniversary special. We would like to get crazier this time, will try to see if we can ask TV kings and queens and nominees to tape together. (Will you impersonate them?) Of course!" Another God Louis frankly said because viewers have expectations in them, so they don't want to disappoint them. "In fact we have many new plans and ideas, hope everything will go well."

Ah Jeh Gets Mad, 3 'Gods' Support Rumor Isn't True

Source: Mingpao
Translated by: KAY
TVB's "Fun With Liza and Gods" has been having good ratings, and popularity of the three gods rises as well. But host Liza Wang (Ah Jeh)'s singing segment is criticized by netizens and opened groups to request Ah Jeh stop singing. Lately a magazine reported the show plans to have a second season in September and Ah Jeh would be replaced by Elvina Kong.

Yesterday Ah Jeh and the three gods Wong Cho Lam, Louis Yuen, Johnson Lee were recording fo "Fun With Liza and Gods." Ah Jeh was asked whether she would be out from season two since she's always criticized by netizens, and Elvina would replace her? She said: "I don't know about this rumor. Netizens have been criticizing me since I got married, can't see too much, don't know what type of thinking is that, I won't mind. It's not confirmed to do season two yet, have to ask producer. If company arranges, will definitely do it."

Louis also doesn't believe in that rumor, and supports Ah Jeh: "Who said that? Ah Jeh's character is very valuable, can balance many things. Without her, how can there be 'Fun With Liza and Gods,' I didn't receive an notification that Elvina would replace Ah Jeh, she's currently doing 'Super Trio Game Master.'"

As for the report, producer Ho Siu Wai felt ridiculous. They didn't begin talking about season two. She said earlier company once thought of doing 20+ episodes in season one, but because some artistes have to film series and have other jobs, it's hard to schedule, so can only do 15 episodes. Although they brought up about season two, but nothing is confirmed. Whether they would include the original cast including Ah Jeh in season two? Ho said she doesn't even know whether she's the producer or not by then, most importantly have to look at everyone's schedule. She felt the report is not factual and has an aim. The show is a show to bring happiness to everyone, but negative reports upset everyone, which isn't good.

Yesterday besides impersonating commercial characters in "Fun With Liza and Gods," they show also invited Skye Chan and Justin Lo as performing guests. When they were taking group photo before the show, Justin didn't show up on time. Ah Jeh joked he won't show up unless with a cap. When he finally showed up with a Chinese pavilion cap, Ah Jeh teased him again: "Your cap today isn't good!" Justin felt embarrassed immediately.

Ah Jeh Has No Difficulty In Cleaning the House and Toilet, But Is Afraid of Taking Care of Babies

Liza Wang (Ah Jeh), Har Yue, Kevin Cheng, and Bernice Liu etc attended to the costume fitting for new series "Home Troopers" yesterday. Har Yue even brought his daughter to TV city. Ah Jeh said chores like cleaning toilet and house etc are no difficulties to her, because there wasn't a maid in her house when she was little, so she is very experienced in doing house chores. Now is husband the one doing chores? She said: "Maid will help us, but will still look after on our own, I'm a little mysophobic." Ah Jeh then said taking care of kids is actually a new challenge: "Tried holding kids before, but I really don't dare to hold little babies, I'm afraid of hurting them."

Kevin, who will play Ah Jeh's son, expressed cleaning toilet isn't a difficulty to him. He said: "I think anyone knows how to do house chores, just whether they're willing to do it or not. If it's too dirty and can't wait for others to help, you still need to do it yourself." First time working with Ah Jeh, Kevin expressed he doesn't have too much pressure. He praised Ah Jeh is easy to get along with and being on time isn't difficult for him. Bernice will play a bad girl in this series and will partner with a 3-year-old kid as her son. Bernice expressed her character's nature isn't bad, but just experienced many ups and downs.

Liza Wong (Ah Jeh)'s singing segment in "Fun With Liza and Gods" is criticized by some netizens and they even established a Facebook page, requesting her not to sing again in the show. The fan page has more than 30,000 supporters to "like" it.

There are many Ah Jeh's supporters counterattack and support, saying Ah Jeh is a hardworking artiste and everyone should give encouragements, shouldn't attack.

25 Thousand Netizens Request Ah Jeh To Stop Singing

Source: Mingpao
Translated by: KAY
TVB's "Fun With Liza and Gods" received many applause. The show attracted 150 million viewers to watch every week. But some viewers criticized at Liza Wong (Ah Jeh)'s singing segment, pointing out her singing is terrible and it's out of tune. Netizens created a Facebook page "Strongly Request Fun With Liza and Gods' Ah Jeh Don't Sing Again" (強烈要求荃加福祿壽阿姐唔好再唱歌). More than 280,000 people have joined. They criticized she cannot handle challenging songs, out of tune and breath, plus she sings with a Cantonese opera style, they feel it's terrible to hear. The group hopes to use public pressure to pressure TVB.

Besides voice of opposing, Ah Jeh has been in the showbiz for more than 40 years and already have many supporters. They support Ah Jeh saying many viewers want to see Ah Jeh perform. They praise Ah Jeh is a serious artiste that she spent lots of time in her look and outfit every episode. In addition, her performance improved lately and they hope viewers don't be too picky.

Producer Ho Siu Wai thanked viewers' straight-forward opinions and knew everyone cares about the show. But the show has to cover different groups. This time is just some opinions from viewers and 150 million people watch the show. Sometimes when they look at reactions from audience in the filming studio, the audience like Ah Jeh's performance. Ah Jeh also put effort in designing her looks and she put time in the singing segment.

[Review] Fun With Liza and Gods Episode 6

By far my favorite episode!
The 3 gods continued to portray classic characters from notable shows. Wong Cho Lam appeared first as 4 Nai Nai (四奶奶) aka Sheren Tang from "Rosy Business" (巾幗梟雄) and talked about Hong Kong "chung lui" (中女). Here in the picture he's reading off a list of single "chung lui" in the industry.
Then Johnson Lee is next as Wing Dek (榮德) from "A Fistful of Stances" (鐵馬尋橋). It was amazing! He totally did a good job in speaking the way Wing Dek did in the series. Funny indeed. Selena Li and Angela Chiang were who they are from the series. Wing Dek was more attention-grabbing LOL.
Lastly we have Dai Kai aka Lee Si Kei from "Heart of Greed" (溏心風暴)! Louis Yuen was portraying one of the classic scenes from HOG, where Lee Si Kei was judging Susanna Kwan at home. Louis did a humorous twist to all Lee Si Kei's famous phrases, such as the one in picture. It was supposed to be "未登天子位,先置殺人刀." But here it was about farting a murderous fart!
This part (Sat in the City) was hilarious!!! They showed up in these awesome outfit. Cho Lam in SM GaGa style, Johnson as leopard cat, and Louis....ROFL!!! He even hid two ice cream cones inside those long cones! Take a look here:
The joke in Gag Father was a pretty normal one---it came from a song: Beyond's "Really Love You" (真的愛你)

Then Denise Ho appeared and sang "On Top of The World" with Liza. The entertainment show was about Lisa S & Daniel Wu getting married in South Africa. The kissing was funny.

I have no comment to whoever is portraying other stars.

At the very end, Liza sang a "classic golden song" but to be honest, she couldn't pull of Faye Wong's song. Liza was singing the theme song from her series "The Awakening Story" (婚前昏後) but when she reached high pitches, just failed. Hoarse voice and almost out of tune.

Liza Wong exposes armpit hair?

Liza Wong was assigned to draw the Anniversary red pocket in the TVB Anniversary Gala. When she was announcing the winner (Chau Chung), the camera-man made a close-up to the card in her hand and her armpit was magnified at the same time. This quick scene created a hot discussion between netizens because they saw armpit hair on their HDTV screen.

Asked Liza whether she didn't shave off all the hair, she couldn't help and yelled, "Those netizens are ignorant. I'm very neat all the time." She said the "armpit hair" netizens saw is just a mole and shadow.
