Louis Yuen Groups Twins with Michelle Lo Again

Once group as Twins (Gillian Chung & Charlene Choi) in variety show "Fun With Liza and Gods," Louis Yuen and Michelle Lo team up again in upcoming movie "I Love Hong Kong."

Because Louis resembles Michelle a lot when he dresses up as Big Ex in his show, the audience already see them as twins in real life. In movie "I Love Hong Kong," which is premiering on Chinese New Year, the two play the older version of twins Joyce Cheng and Kate Tsui (second photo) [the two are also said to be look-a-likes in some angles]. Male leads of the movie Tony Cheung and Eric Tseng want to go back and see how the twins are doing twenty years later.

However, the twins look so different compared to before. One of them (Louis) even greet the boys with 'her' top off. This part would definitely make the audience laugh hard.

3 'Gods' Don't Dare to Play Law Kar-ying

Liza Wang (Ah Jeh) and the 3 'Gods' Wong Cho Lam, Louis Yuen, and Johnson Lee went to the rehearsal for this weekend's <荃加福祿壽宇宙最長> ("Liza and Gods' Universe' Longest") concert. Three models were arranged to take photos with Johnson because he will dirty-dance with models at the concert. Cho Lam and Louis joked they already had a "proper meal" (girlfriend) and leave dirty-dancing to Johnson, who needs to lose weight and eat less "meat" (desire). Louis also exposed several guys fight to dance with Ah Jeh and they will sing with a pop queen, too.

Asked whether Law Kar-ying (Ka Ying Gor) would attend to the concert? Ah Jeh expressed he is not in Hong Kong. Whether they would find someone to impersonate him? Louis said: "We don't dare. It's disrespecting." Whether their girlfriends would show up? Louis made fun of Johnson: "Johnson will ask 'big' 'medium' 'small' dim sum to come (pointing to Johnson's rumored girlfriend 'spring roll'). TVB Anniversary Awards is this Sunday and they plan a skit for it; someone will appear to get the award that night. As for whether it would be Moses Chan or Wayne Lai, they will not reveal until that night.

Liza and Gods Anniversary Charade Episode 2 Recap

Episode 1 Recap HERE

Another fun Saturday night! The Gods continues to bring laughter in this week's episode. They play with more disputes and rumors (Sheren Tang & Charmaine Sheh, Charlene Choi & William Chan, etc). Sorry If I spoiled anyone :) Here is the recap of Episode 2:

Intro: In the beginning of this week's episode, the Gods play with Wayne Lai again and recreates the supermarket scene (Wayne was said attracted lots of attention when he shopped at supermarket earlier). Johnson Lee is Wayne, Wong Cho Lam is the son, and Louis Yuen is Wayne's wife.

My MV: This week Wong Cho Lam and Louis sing two classic songs---A-Mei's "Listen to the Sea" and Candy Lo's "Garbage."A-Mei's love song turns into a mom's song and Candy's song is now about plastic surgeries.

Series: Remember the scene where Professor King (Raymond Lam) apologizes and breaks up with Tsui Siu Lai (Tavia Yeung) in "Mysteries of Love"? Johnson is playing with this scene in this episode! How you like Johnson's Professor King look?

My MV: Johnson again! Now he's playing with William Chan & Charlene Choi's relationship in this funny version of "Taxi." He even mixes in Angelababy in the lyrics, how clever!

Series: Then Louis in anniversary series "Can't Buy Me Love"---he plays Susanna Kwan's character and refuses to let other people to use their family's toilet.

Entertainment News Report: They report the TV Queen competition between Sheren Tang and Charmaine Sheh. Wong Cho Lam as 9 Mui and Johnson is Charmaine's character in upcoming series "Colorful World of Sister Fa" (tentative name).

Series: Lastly, Wong Cho Lam plays with "No Regrets" again! Not "Pork Rib Boy" this time but Sheren Tang's 9 mui! He (or she...) wants Wayne Lai's character to die because he shoots too many commercial and always win on the mahjong table.

In the first segment, Wong Cho Lam plays "Pork Rib Boy" Pierre Ngo in the scene where the gang is looking for him. Great editing indeed! It's intense and funny at the same time (if you get the jokes he's talking about).

"Every Move You Make" Spin Off: Each God plays the role of Yiu Sir (Bowie Lam) in "Every Move You Make" and questions different characters/objects. In this episode, Wong Cho Lam is a hot-pot item of Eric Tsang and he accuses Eric of making him over-cooked.

'Fun With Liza & Gods' to Hold a Concert Version

The Fun With Liza and Gods Longest Concert held its press conference yesterday at TVB City. Liza and the "3 Gods" Louis Yuen, Wong Cho Lam and Johnson Lee appeared in Star Wars costumes, and announced what the concert was all about, also the concert theme song MV by the 3 Gods premiered.

Liza said: "My main focus is not imitation, just accommodating the 3 of them. The whole show is focused on singing. (Will you sing other people songs?) Limited, I have a lot of old songs myself, but won't change the lyrics, not like them, I am not that type. (Why didn't you take part in the MV?) This is flexible, it's convenient for them to accept shows now that they have their own theme song. (World tour for the 4 of you?) Depends on the time, there are some areas that we have a limited budget. Also, I can pair with other people like Adam Cheng."

The 3 Gods expressed: "This time we are doing two shows because we can't add shows. Before when we were choosing the dates, because our main audience are family, so we chose Saturday and Sunday. (Will you guys invite guests to go on stage?) Yes. Besides imitating more classic public figures, there are some we haven't tried to imitate before. We already have 4 guests who agreed, they won't be imitating anything though, we will imitate them, hope after Part 1, we can do a Part 2."

'Fun With Liza & Gods' to Win 'Best Variety Show Host'?

TVB's "Fun With Liza and Gods" did very well in ratings and word of mouth. Although the show ended now, but the four hosts, Liza Wang, Louis Yuen, Johnson Lee, and Wong Cho Lam, will continue to work as a team to entertainment the audience. It's known they will hold a two show concert starting in December 4. Then they will even tour around the world, going to places like North America, Australia, Singapore, etc.

Because the show is very popular, it's decided TVB will tape 4 special episodes to air in the anniversary months starting November 13. It's believed they have a high chance in winning this year's "Best Variety Show Host." (the award ceremony is in early December)

In addition, it's rumored TVB to start a series and film for the team and the series would start shooting early next year. Yesterday reporters contacted Liza for confirmation and she said: "Filming a film? Really? I thought it's just TV series? I'm not sure! But if it's true then it would be a happy thing." She expressed she would try to participate if schedule permits.

Cho Lam, one of the Gods, said: "We will start discussing the anniversary special. We would like to get crazier this time, will try to see if we can ask TV kings and queens and nominees to tape together. (Will you impersonate them?) Of course!" Another God Louis frankly said because viewers have expectations in them, so they don't want to disappoint them. "In fact we have many new plans and ideas, hope everything will go well."

Moses Chan Draws A Line: 'Charmaine Sheh is None of My Business'

Moses Chan and Charmaine Sheh have rumors with each other after filming the same series, but it ended as Moses's real rumored girlfriend Bernice Liu returned from abroad. In the end Charmaine is rumored that she has to go to Mainland to work in order to cure her wound. Even new series "Can't Buy My Love" is releasing soon, she hasn't promote it online yet and won't return Hong Kong until 3 days before the premier. She seems to be avoiding series promotion to prevent embarrassment. As for this, Moses and Louis Yuen accepted and radio interview and Louis believes related reports are just a fill-in game. He joked it should be Louis leaving Moses, not Moses leaving Charmaine. Moses asked back: "How did I leave her? I think she went to Mainland to film." Louis then listed Charmaine's schedule when she returns Hong Kong, saying they're Weibo friends and know each other's schedule very well. Moses then said: "I don't have a Weibo, not even Facebook. How do I contact with people? Who to contact? If it's Mainland fans, company will handle them. I only have a Twitter, no Weibo, I don't know how to update status."

Moses stressed he only contacts Charmaine about work and they haven't seen each other after they were done filming "Can't Buy My Love." He said: "I would restate, Charmaine is none of my business!" Joked whether Bernice is his business? Moses said embarrassingly: "Won't talk about rumors!" Said he and Charmaine isn't as close as before, he actually denied, thus his answer is somewhat confusing. Asked Louis about Moses' rumor with Charmaine, Louis said: "Of course it's not true!" What about Bernice? "I can say you're wrong, but it's not all true as well!"

Ah Jeh Gets Mad, 3 'Gods' Support Rumor Isn't True

Source: Mingpao
Translated by: KAY
TVB's "Fun With Liza and Gods" has been having good ratings, and popularity of the three gods rises as well. But host Liza Wang (Ah Jeh)'s singing segment is criticized by netizens and opened groups to request Ah Jeh stop singing. Lately a magazine reported the show plans to have a second season in September and Ah Jeh would be replaced by Elvina Kong.

Yesterday Ah Jeh and the three gods Wong Cho Lam, Louis Yuen, Johnson Lee were recording fo "Fun With Liza and Gods." Ah Jeh was asked whether she would be out from season two since she's always criticized by netizens, and Elvina would replace her? She said: "I don't know about this rumor. Netizens have been criticizing me since I got married, can't see too much, don't know what type of thinking is that, I won't mind. It's not confirmed to do season two yet, have to ask producer. If company arranges, will definitely do it."

Louis also doesn't believe in that rumor, and supports Ah Jeh: "Who said that? Ah Jeh's character is very valuable, can balance many things. Without her, how can there be 'Fun With Liza and Gods,' I didn't receive an notification that Elvina would replace Ah Jeh, she's currently doing 'Super Trio Game Master.'"

As for the report, producer Ho Siu Wai felt ridiculous. They didn't begin talking about season two. She said earlier company once thought of doing 20+ episodes in season one, but because some artistes have to film series and have other jobs, it's hard to schedule, so can only do 15 episodes. Although they brought up about season two, but nothing is confirmed. Whether they would include the original cast including Ah Jeh in season two? Ho said she doesn't even know whether she's the producer or not by then, most importantly have to look at everyone's schedule. She felt the report is not factual and has an aim. The show is a show to bring happiness to everyone, but negative reports upset everyone, which isn't good.

Yesterday besides impersonating commercial characters in "Fun With Liza and Gods," they show also invited Skye Chan and Justin Lo as performing guests. When they were taking group photo before the show, Justin didn't show up on time. Ah Jeh joked he won't show up unless with a cap. When he finally showed up with a Chinese pavilion cap, Ah Jeh teased him again: "Your cap today isn't good!" Justin felt embarrassed immediately.

[Interview] 'Three Gods': I Like To Impersonate!

Louis Yuen Relies On Big Contrast When Impersonating

Part 2: Louis Yuen

Louis Yuen blames himself for being deficient. Thick lips, big waist, curvy body, he couldn't be like Wong Cho Lam, who can handle the feminism of a small woman. In order to impersonate well, he has do extra work before the show: "Every time I impersonate, really have to do more research before hand, have to watch all shows and singing technique of that person, then go for the main part, it's all about experiences."

Knowing he is fat and it's hard to impersonate certain people: "I can never impersonate So Gai Mao [掃街茂], he's so skinny, just can't do it in any way. But I feel it's because I can't resemble him, so there would be a contrast, viewers would be happy watching it." He continued: "But usually I would pick people who have similar body type like me, because I don't dare to risk. I want to be confident before impersonating, like impersonating Chan Cheng Cong, Sammo Hung, and Tiger Woods, I feel I impersonated them well. Like Tiger Woods, just have to blacken my face, thicken my lips, then put on some make-up cotton and I'm done!"

As for the old days in "Enjoy Yourself Tonight," there are fewer good impersonators in Hong Kong. Lo Hoi Pang, Lo Ho Kai, Adam Cheng aged now. Mui Siu Wai and Kingdom Yuen seem to be taking a break. Responsibility of '3 Gods'  is not just to entertain everyone, but also to keep this type of performing art. Louis said: "I think we cannot lack comedian stars. If no one impersonate and entertain, everyone would be stressed out to the max! I think we three are 3 cobblers, all have different comedy talent. We have different strong points. When we get together, we would be the strongest group."

Talked about strong points of every 'God,' Louis said: "We three are all different. Johnson is careful and detailed when impersonating, he handle every gesture and laugh very well. Besides good at impersonating, Cho Lam is also good at writing lyrics. Lyrics in many songs are written by him, he's great. As for me, I'm better at controlling the atmosphere and timing, making the audience more enjoyable. Plus Ah Jeh, we can complement each other's deficiency."

[Review] Fun With Liza and Gods Episode 6

By far my favorite episode!
The 3 gods continued to portray classic characters from notable shows. Wong Cho Lam appeared first as 4 Nai Nai (四奶奶) aka Sheren Tang from "Rosy Business" (巾幗梟雄) and talked about Hong Kong "chung lui" (中女). Here in the picture he's reading off a list of single "chung lui" in the industry.
Then Johnson Lee is next as Wing Dek (榮德) from "A Fistful of Stances" (鐵馬尋橋). It was amazing! He totally did a good job in speaking the way Wing Dek did in the series. Funny indeed. Selena Li and Angela Chiang were who they are from the series. Wing Dek was more attention-grabbing LOL.
Lastly we have Dai Kai aka Lee Si Kei from "Heart of Greed" (溏心風暴)! Louis Yuen was portraying one of the classic scenes from HOG, where Lee Si Kei was judging Susanna Kwan at home. Louis did a humorous twist to all Lee Si Kei's famous phrases, such as the one in picture. It was supposed to be "未登天子位,先置殺人刀." But here it was about farting a murderous fart!
This part (Sat in the City) was hilarious!!! They showed up in these awesome outfit. Cho Lam in SM GaGa style, Johnson as leopard cat, and Louis....ROFL!!! He even hid two ice cream cones inside those long cones! Take a look here:
The joke in Gag Father was a pretty normal one---it came from a song: Beyond's "Really Love You" (真的愛你)

Then Denise Ho appeared and sang "On Top of The World" with Liza. The entertainment show was about Lisa S & Daniel Wu getting married in South Africa. The kissing was funny.

I have no comment to whoever is portraying other stars.

At the very end, Liza sang a "classic golden song" but to be honest, she couldn't pull of Faye Wong's song. Liza was singing the theme song from her series "The Awakening Story" (婚前昏後) but when she reached high pitches, just failed. Hoarse voice and almost out of tune.

Wong Cho Lam Portrays Chung King Fai, Returns As A Man

Source: Mingpao
Translated by: KAY
Once complained for portraying women often, Wong Cho Lam portrayed a man character when filming the new episode of "Fun With Liza and Gods." He appeared as Chung King Fai (King Sir)'s character in "A Fistful of Stances." Liza Wong congratulated him when she saw him, said he never portrayed a man since the show is on air. Cho Lam cleared up: "I'm a man myself, not portraying man, but viewers like to see me portraying women, I'm afraid it would be less appealing without this career line." [career line 事業線 is a new phrase in Hong Kong, referring to woman's chest, generally for those who get attention and headlines by showing off their chest. i.e: Chrissie Chau is showing off her 32D career line.]

He said it's a little difficult to portray King Sir due to body movement and tone of speaking, but he didn't ask the original for guidance, because he portrayed King Sir many times. A segment in the show called "Sat and the City" requires all three gods (Cho Lam, Louis, and Johnson) to portray women. But in the next episode, they will turn back to men. He said they can't always talk about minds of women and have to concern about male viewers; so his 'Handelbaby' won't show up again.

The three gods portrayed women as much as they can yesterday, portraying Cookies and also Dae Jang Geum. Louis was said to resemble host Michelle Lo when he portrays woman, and the two actually showed up together. Louis joked they're threatening to Twins.

Reports said in the beginning of developing this show, TVB refused to pay extra to change song lyrics, Louis had to pay on his own in order to add more fun to the show. Louis only said: "No, TVB has that much money, no need to pay on my own. Actually we have more sponsors now, good response, too. Cost of hair and clothing increased."
