Charlotte Church Is Engaged!

Singer Charlotte Church is engaged to rugby player Gavin Henson.

He proposed to Church the day after they celebrated her 24th birthday in February, according to Britain's Daily Mail.

The Daily Mail reports Henson, 28, flew her by helicopter from their home in the Vale of Glamorgan in Wales to the Nare Hotel in Truro, Cornwall, for lunch.

He then got down on one knee and surprised her with a two-carat heart-shaped diamond ring.

Church and Henson have two children together, Ruby, 2, and 15-month-old, Dexter.

They have been together since 2005.

Only 9 People Went To See Uma Thurman's New Film

Uma Thurman's latest film has bombed at the British box office - making just £88 in its opening weekend.The movie, which tells the story of a stressed mother attempting to raise her children and pursue a writing career, was watched by just one person when it opened last Sunday, meaning it took only £9 on its first day.Over the entire opening weekend, no more than 12 people went to see the film, which cost $5million to make and also stars Minnie Driver and a cameo by Jodie Foster. 

When contacted about the dismal failure of Motherhood, producer Jane Edelbaum said: 'You're kidding? We must have broken a new record for grosses!'While Motherhood took just over £40,000 in the U.S. when it opened last year, Edelbaum blames Metrodome, the company in charge of promoting the film in the UK, for its extraordinary lack of success in Britain.She told The Guardian: 'Think about how much crap succeeds at the cinema. Motherhood is not bad. It's a very decent movie. I've seen movie that are not half as good.'

However, despite its dismal takings, Motherhood is not officially Britain's lowest grossing film on its opening weekend.

That doubtful honour was bestowed on 2007 movie My Nikifor, a film about Polish artist Nikifor Krynicki, which took just £7 on its debut weekend.

Ricky Martin Admits He's Gay

 After years of being silent about his sexuality, 38-year-old Ricky Martin reveals he is gay to the public on his website this Monday.

"I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man," said the singer, "I am very blessed to be who I am."

Martin says his twin boys, who will turn 2 in August, inspired him to speak out.

"To keep living as I did up until today would be to indirectly diminish the glow that my kids were born with," he said. "These years in silence and reflection made me stronger and reminded me that acceptance has to come from within and that this kind of truth gives me the power to conquer emotions I didn't even know existed."

On Monday - the same day she announced her split from husband of nearly seven years, her Revolutionary Road director Sam Mendes -- Kate Winslet was spotted in a bikini on a boat in Mexico with her two children, Joe, 6 and Mia, 9.

In a statement, lawyers said that Winslet, 34, and Mendes, 44 -- who wed in 2003 -- split earlier this year and that it was "entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement."

Adds the insider, "They were never together. They are both so work-oriented that they found it hard to find time together."

Kate Winslet & Sam Mendes Spilt

The 7-year itch perhaps?

The nearly seven-year marriage of Kate Winslet and director Sam Mendes is coming to an end.

"Kate and Sam are saddened to announce that they separated earlier this year," their lawyers say in a statement. "The split is entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement. Both parties are fully committed to the future joint parenting of their children."　

Winslet, 34, and Mendes, 44, were married in 2003. They have a son, Joe, 6. Winslet also has a daughter, Mia, 9, from her first marriage to Jim Threapleton.

Winslet and Mendez, who were both born in Reading, England, are also both Oscar winners. She won the Best Actress award in 2009 for The Reader after five previous nominations. He was named Best Director in 2000 for American Beauty.

They became a couple in the fall of 2001, when Mendes approached Winslet to star in two stage productions with his Donmar Warehouse theater company in London. (She turned him down.) Mendes had previously been linked to actresses Calista Flockhart and Rachel Weisz.

Harry Potter star Emma Watson has ended her two-year relationship with financier Jay Barrymore.
And, say pals, the 19-year-old has been spending time with Spanish musician and fellow student Rafael Cebrian since the split.
The pair became close friends last November while Emma was still in a relationship with Jay, and since the split she has been heavily leaning on Rafael.

'Rafael belongs to the Production Workshop, a student-run theatre group at Brown,' says my source.
'He's been acting with them since he moved to the US, and he has got Emma involved.
'This is a new experience for Emma and she's a little nervous about her performance, but the play has already sold out. She's hoping it will be a critical success.'

Mr Britten, 27, said: 'We were laughing at Lady GaGa's outfit and that extraordinary wig and talking about how scary she looked.

My fiancee Marti joked that I should make a scarecrow which looked like her. I laughed and then it occurred to me it was actually a very good idea.

And Mr Britten said that so far, the 7ft tall Lady GaGa scarecrow, complete with shocking white wig made from cotton wool and dress, is keeping birds off his wheat crops which are used to grow Hovis bread.
