Lisa Ch'ng Denies Not Competing in Miss International Because of Poor Quality

Jacqueline Ch'ng sister Lisa Ch'ng was crowned Miss HK second runner-up earlier. Recently there are reports pointing because Miss HK is poor quality and CNNGo even said the contest is a porkchop pageant, TVB didn't choose second runner-up winner [Lisa] as usual to participate in Miss International Pageant in October. Instead, TVB replaced Lisa with this year's Miss Photogenic Crystal Li.

After Lisa read this report, she calmly wrote on Weibo explaining she can't compete because she has a Malaysian passport: "If I'm representing HK, I need a HKSAR passport! You can't have dual citizenship in Malaysia so I can't apply for a HKSAR passport. That's why I can't compete! Hope everyone don't think too much." TVB's external affairs assistant director Tseng Sing Ming stressed it's because Lisa doesn't have a HKSAR passport, which didn't meet the organization's requirement. As for readers expressed Rabee Yeung is a Canadian citizen and she can still represent HK to participate in Miss World, Tseng explained Miss World and Miss Universe don't have a limit in nationality, but Miss International has stricter rules.

In addition, once replaced the laziest Miss HK winner Edelweiss Cheung to compete Miss International, Sire Ma supports her junior: "In fact, the top 3 is a group who share Miss HK jobs. Company would divide jobs based on the job content. The problem for Lisa is her passport. (It's said she's not pretty that's why she's not allowed to compete?) I interacted with her. She is generous and comfortable to be with. Although not a common beauty, but she has something unique about herself, absolutely deserved winning her title."

New Miss HK Winners Deny They're Porkchops

CNNgo published an article recently, calling this year's Miss Hong Kong pageant a "porkchop pageant" (link here). Yesterday the three new Miss Hong Kong winners attended to a charity dinner party and they denied they're "porkchops." Winner Toby Chan replied: "They are not purposely exaggerating this thing right? Should be saying this year's winners are out already. I won't be upset because of it. They only posted our winning pictures? That's not fair to us. Maybe it's an angle problem. Anyways there are some pictures that look better."

Second runner-up, the one who is said to be the ugliest, Lisa Ch'ng replied: "Doesn't matter. Hope after this report is out, more people would want to see us in real person. When they see us in real people, they won't think we are porkchops." Asked whether they think they are porkchops, Lisa said: "No. I won't introduce myself as pork chop." Toby said: "I won't give myself this title." As for first runner-up Sammi Cheung, she said: "I wouldn't want others to call us by this name, just want to use our real names." Talked about responses from residents when they are on the streets, Lisa said: "Some said it's all good if I fix my hair, okay in real life! They also said they want to redress my hairsyle!" Toby said: "They would praise us pretty when they meet us in real life."

As for whether they would stop eating porkchop? The three said no and Lisa said: "This title appears in many years previously!" 2005 Miss HK winner Tracey Yip supported them: "Hope everyone look at them with an admiring heart. I'm not surprised to hear this incident. They are very pretty girls."

Miss HK Winner Toby Chan Has No Problem With Being Called 'Pork Chop'

Miss HK 2010 winners went to Hong Thai travel agency yesterday to receive their prizes. Winner Toby Chan and rumored boyfriend Wong Chun Dat avoided each other and didn't stand together for a group photo. As for the reason she won is because of Wong, she stressed again her rumor with Wong is not true and believes the judges were fair.

Facing negative criticisms, she said she paid attention to good and bad ones. She won't get upset or cry in private.  She would make improvements in some places and she admits her gum exposed when she smiles. Some netizens pointed she looks like Yu Mo Lien (TVB) and is a Miss HK "pork chop." She said maybe she looks like Yu at some angle. As for being called "pork chop," she didn't feel it's a big problem: "Little pigs are pretty cute. I won't think toward the negative way. You would feel happier when you look at the positive side of everything."

Lisa Ch'ng's twin sister argues with netizens

Lisa Ch'ng teased her hair style isn't like the mother from Atashin'chi anymore. She joked she would treat this as her icon because it's easy for others to remember. Said she looks like DJ Chow Kwok Fung? She said she knows him and feels bad for dragging him into the rumors. She doesn't mind negative criticisms, but twin sister Mona Ch'ng is mad and started to argue with netizens. Lisa advised sister don't get mad. She is also said she is boycotting Toby along with first runner-up Sammi Cheung. Lisa stressed she is good friends with Toby and there is no such thing like that.

(5) Lisa Ch'ng is Suspicious of Encountering Supernatural Events, Causing Her to Have High Fever

Source: The Sun / Translated by: KAY @ kays-entertainment.blogspot.com

India is one the four ancient civilizations. Stories of ghosts and gods have been circulating for thousands of years. This year's Miss Hong Kong contestants went to India to film, staff who went along even exposed contestants encountering supernatural incidents. Within them, Lisa Chong and Toby Chan's are the hardest to explain. It seems really need to ask Professor King @ "Mysteries of Love" to explain them.

Although 15 contestants already finished their trip in Indian and returned Hong Kong, but the supernatural incidents are prevalent after they're exposed by staff. It's known Lisa and Toby encountered many strange events. One night, Lisa and Toby returned to their room and put on facial mask to "recharge" their skin. Maybe they were very tired, the two fell asleep with their masks on. When they woke up, the two were shocked to see the masks on their face and neck were placed on the desk. They looked at each other and had absolutely no clue why their masks know how to fly!

New strange incidents happened again. The other night Lisa went to the next room to chat with other contestants. Toby, who stayed at the room alone suddenly heard sounds of door knocking. When she opened the door, she saw no one. She then asked other contestants whether they came over, they said no and Toby suspected ghost appeared. The strangest thing is that one day Toby went out early morning. Before she left, she woke up Lisa. Lisa was the only one at the room that time and when she was about to leave the room, she found the theft proof chain on the door was locked. As she has been having high fever during her visit to India, she feels very uncomfortable and not at ease. It's known these incident spread quickly, causing panic. In fact before Lisa left Hong Kong, her dog passed away. The number of her dog's cremation box, number 5, is coincidentally the same number of her number in Miss Hong Kong!

Reporters contacted Lisa's sister Jacqueline Ch'ng for confirmation, she said: "I heard my sister talking about it. In fact my two sisters also encountered those kind of things when they were little! For the mask, maybe she was too tired that she took them off and didn't even know about it. Locking the theft proof chain, I really cannot explain that!" In addition, Lisa went to have dinner with mom last night, but didn't reply to supernatural incidents. Whether it's to let parents know she's safe or has to calm herself, she wore a Buddha bead bracelet and Buddha necklace.
